De-select individual images in themes

Hello, guys. I want to de-select some images in Windows 10 themes I downloaded from MS website.
I remember I did this when I installed Win 10 many months ago. Now, after anniversary update, I can't figure it out how I made.
I found another thread, where is a file to download and it add a contex right-click menu. But I don't made it this way. I'm 100% I had not a context menu for this.
Any solution?

I'm afraid that Anniversary update changed this behavior. You can only select folder of pictures.

But, if you select pictures with right clicking in Explorer, you can select multiple (via holding ctrl or shift key) and then only that selectionwill rotate.

Don't know if this will be permanent, just playing with it now
Think, the best option is to make separate folder and copy wanted pictures in there. Then you can add or delete them.

@Siegfriedm This may be the context menu option you mention. It is the easiest and safest way to do it. Try this tutorial from Shawn here on TF. It shows how to add an extension to the right-click desktop context menu. Among other things, it will allow you to select/unselect individual images for your desktop theme.

'Personalize (classic)' context menu - Add in Windows 10 - Windows 10 blog

After you have installed the registry entries from the tutorial, restart, then right-click your desktop. You will see the option as pictured below. Click Personalize (Classic)then Desktop Background. It's self-explanatory at that point.

Yes, but I made it without that tweak. I don't like to have an english menu, because I have the os in italian.

I understand. Maybe someone can do a translation of it. If you go to that folder that's listed in the title bar, you can manually delete and add whatever images you wish.

C:UsersxxxxxxxxAppDataLocalMicrosoftWindowsThemesRoamedThemeFilesDesktopBackground

Substitute your user name for the xxxxxxxx above.

@Siegfriedm You're welcome! Glad to be of help.

To make it easier now and in the future to get to those images, do this.

C:UsersxxxxxxxxAppDataLocalMicrosoftWindowsThemesRoamedThemeFilesDesktopBackground

Copy and paste the line into a new text file on your desktop.

Substitute your user name for the xxxxxxxx. Save the file and name it something you will remember.

Copy the line. Do a WIN KEY+R (hold Windows key, press R). Paste the line into the command, Click OK.

It will take you directly to the folder.

Save that text file with the command data in your user files for future use. It will save you from trying to remember it later.
