BSOD while in-game

For the past 3 weeks or so I've been receiving BSODs while playing Fallout 4. It only started after the a recent update came out for the game and I updated my GPU driver at the same time. I've tried downgrading my driver, and thought it had fixed it, however last night I the computer crashed again.

Any insight into the matter will be much appreciated.

Try this, Witchbolt. It worked for me but does not work for most people. However it's free.

Go to Control Panel--Device Manager--Display Adapter. Your video card will then appear. Select your video card. It will probably tell you that it is working correctly and you have the latest driver. But click the tab for "Events." make sure that your driver was installed correctly.

Thank you for the feedback Vince Massi. I did as you suggested and everything seems to be as it should be, so I doubt this is caused by the GPU, and it was just a coincidence I started getting BSODs after I updated the driver.

First you are running windows 7 and this is the windows 10 forum.

But both dumpfiles from april blame

This is the driver from your motionjoy software.
The motionjoy software is known for BSODing

But i found this topic on the windows 8 forum with a alternative solution.Random BSODs, Driver_Not_Less_Or_Equal

Maybe there could be newer version of motionjoy ( Google).

Thank you so much for the help lifetec. I apologize about for not realising this forum was dedicated to windows 10, as I was sent to this site by a friend.
I will try to sort out this problem now that I know the cause.
Thank you all for the help, it is much appreciated.

Hi, welcome to the blog

The dump : 041516-19468-01

references a problem with MijXfilt.sys

So it's saying it's caused by MijXfilt.sys-> MotioninJoy simulate Xbox 360 controller (virtual Xinput device)

But within the stack, i can find a problem with following driver : aswSnx.SYS -> avast! Virtualization Driver

Given the fact its a very recent driver, i would try to remove the software. See if the problem presists.
If its gone by removing this. You can chose to re-instal it, and see what happens, or you can leave it be.

Code:
fffff880`01c8f000 fffff880`01d94000 aswSnx T (no symbols) Loaded symbol image file: aswSnx.sys Image path: SystemRootsystem32driversaswSnx.sys Image name: aswSnx.sys Timestamp: Wed Mar 09 10:12:46 2016 (56DFE90E) CheckSum: 0010A3E9 ImageSize: 00105000 Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4

Also i notices a running process named MycomGames.com
According to MyComGames.exe Windows process - What is it? website, its semi-legit. So are you aware of this software and do you know it's fucntion? Do you use it?
Same goes for GyStation.exe Windows process - What is it?

i'm not saying this has something to do with the BSOD, i'm just watching our for possible security threats.

Thank you for your insight into these potential problems zztemp. I will look into those as well. I believe MyCom is an mmo I used to play but uninstalled so I will see why that is showing up. I have no idea what GyStation could be.
