BSOD while surfing (IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL ntoskrnl.exe)

Hello forum,

please help me out. I've bought a new Laptop last week and since two days ago I'm running into BSODs, random reboots and random shutdowns (no error prompt whatsoever in these cases).

What I did so far:
Windows Memory Diagnostic. No errors
chkdsk with parameters frx params. No errors
Linx Cpu stresstest: No errors
Furmark up to 80 degree celsius: No errors

As far as I know there were errors related to something called 'nvStreamUserAgent.exe'. I deactivated the corresponding service now.

I've installed the Panda Free Antivirus program, which seems to be known to cause BSODS if the process url monitor is enabled. But this was supposed to be fixed like a year ago. I disabled this feature for now. (Panda says no virus detected)

DM Log Collection file in Attachments.

Would be glad for any help!

Hello adventuretime,

Welcome to the windowssh blog

A much better memory test is to run the Memtest86+ Please look at the tutorial and read all through it. The test can take a long time to run all eight passes and it would be worth leaving it running overnight as you have 8GB to test.

Thank you,

I thought the ms tool would be sufficient, but I had my doubt considering how fast the test was. Okay, I'll give memtest a shot

Okay I'm back with some test results. 13 passes in total. Too bad it didn't find any errors, so I have no clue what causes the bsods.

I've had a look at the two dump files in your log. They were both created on Fri 8 Jul, one about 24 minutes after the other.

They are both IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.

In the first dump file:
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for PSINKNC.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for PSINKNC.sys
Probably caused by : PSINKNC.sys ( PSINKNC+21693 )

In the second dump file:
Probably caused by : ntkrnlmp.exe ( nt!KiInsertTimerTable+af )

In the second there were also two references to drivers that had errors:
Code:
ffffd000`2096e850 fffff800`debae138Unable to load image SystemRootsystem32DRIVERSPSINProt.sys, Win32 error 0n2 *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for PSINProt.sys *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for PSINProt.sys PSINProt+0x1e138 ffffd000`2096f548 fffff800`da8630adUnable to load image SystemRootsystem32DRIVERSPSINReg.sys, Win32 error 0n2 *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for PSINReg.sys *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for PSINReg.sys PSINReg+0x30ad
These drivers are all related to the Panda Anti-virus and I would suggest you completely uninstall this rather than disable it. Windows Defender will be a good substitute for now.

Please report back with new files if you continue to get BSOD crashes.

Thank you for your time and expertise! I'll uninstall it immediately and search for a different av tool.
