I recently got a Windows 10 Virtual Machine and I need a product key. Is there any way to get one? Thanks. (The reason I have a VM is because I want to try it before I decide I want to do the upgrade)
There are plenty of sources for purchasing Windows 10 product keys - everything from Microsoft directly to EBAY.
Confucius says... Huh?
So you got a VM like in the XP days? When MS released those?
No, It's technically called VirtualBox from Oracle but everyone calls it VM or Virtual Machine
Virtual Machine (VM), Windows Virtual PC BrowserStack
Why not take a backup of your current install, and then upgrade? If you don't like it, roll back to the image. If you do like it, your all set. Either way, you will have the digital entitlement to upgrade later on, even after the free upgrade process expires.
If you like, you have a 30-days before needing to activate to be able to evaluate Windows 10 in the VM before upgrading to Windows 10 from your activated Windows 7.
You can select I don't have a product key during Windows Setup to install Windows 10 without a key.

There is also an Enterprise trial that will run for 90 days. Nobodies just going to give you a key.
LOL... yup!
Actually, VirtualBox is just one example of the software, called a hypervisor, that creates and manages virtual machines. VMs or virtual machines are the files that a hypervisor loads and runs. VMware Workstation and VirtualBox are versions of workstation applications. VMWare ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V are examples of server versions.
