Build 10240 - Any expiry on ACTIVATED versions??

Hi there

I'm confused now -- if build 10240 is as good (or for most people as near as good) as it will be for the Windows delivered to people after 29 Jul - and it's activated already what is the point in purchasing new licenses.

I've got about 6 versions running -- I just don't envision Ms as a company that dishes out that amount of FREE Software -- so I'd assume these must become de-activated some time in the future.

Anybody got any knowledge or info in that. Previous builds were set to expire on 02 Oct.

There's no expiry as far as I can find out currently on activated 10240 builds.

Cheers

I would like to know the answer to that question too.

If you stay in the Insider Program it probably doesn't expire. It will automatically be upgrade to any new builds as they are released.

Here is the activation I have.. Permanent .. I believe you get this if you're either in or out of the insider program.

What build are you using and how did you install it?

I downloaded it from here: Windows 10 Enterprise Insider Preview | TechNet Evaluation Center
It was 10074 version if I remember right, and updated all the time with new builds.
I have 10240 build now.

Hi there

Mine also "Permanently Activated" -- seems we are in luck as I'm sure 6 X Windows 10 pro license would not give me much change out of 700 USD !!!.

Can't believe in the generosity of Ms -- there MUST be a catch somewhere -- I don't regard getting new updates to insider builds as a problem - especially if I can run a FREE W10 build.
