Can't open File Manager directly on W10

Hello,

Yesterday I couldn't open file manager anymore randomly by pressing the shortcut to File Manager that i've been previously using without any problems.

I looked on the internet and i tried this solution where you write "Sfc /scannow" in CMD. No problems found.

Then I realized that i can access my files by pressing on a random folder and access file manager that way.

Anyone had this problem and how do i fix it?

What is File Manager ?
Is it the File Explorer at the taskbar ?

Hi, not sure what you mean exactly. Double clicking a folder should open explorer (or your default file manager).

Windows key + E also should open explorer.

If that is what you meant.......................

1. Run a thumbnail cache clear and reset
Thumbnail Cache - Clear and Reset in Windows 10

2. Run an Icon Cache rebuild

3. Run a system restore. Pick a date you did NOT have this problem as your restore point.
System Restore Windows 10
