I have a windows 10 pro system. I have a DNS-323 NAS mounted as U: On the NAS I have a main folder "My Videos". Under this folder I have a temp and save folder. I have the U:My Videos pinned to the quick access. When I use windows explorer to move a file from the main folder to the temp or save folder the quick access name changes to the folder that I move the file to. I have to move a file from the temp folder to the main folder to get the name back. This appears to only happen with network mounted drives.
When moving a file from U:My Video to U:My Video emp. The quick access changes from U:My Video to U:My Video emp. When I move a file from U:My Video emp to U:My Video. The quick access changes from U:My Video emp to U:My Video.
Why does this keep changing. Kind of defeats the purpose of a quick access.

Can you provide a picture of you settings?
In my case explorer changes view at My computer (if option expand to current folder is selected), Quick access remains.
All three of those options are not checked.
I don't have this problem, but looks like you are not alone.
I found some similar threads (also here on windowssh blog and MS blog) which have mostly in common upgrade from Windows 7 / 8 and connections from Windows 10 - Samba.
One of the workarounds is from MS forum:On which version of Windows 10 are you?Hi all,
I was having a similar issue. I did an online chat with Microsoft and found a solution that worked for me. Maybe it will work for you too. If not, sorry.
Click "File" in File Explorer
Select "Change Folder & Search Options"
Where it says "Open File Explorer to..." select "This PC"
From "This PC," right-click within the "Network Locations" section.
Select "Add a network location"
This will bring up the "Add a Network Location Wizard."
This allowed me to add network-folder shortcuts to the "This PC" section of the left-side column toolbar.

This didn't really fix the "Quick Access" problem, but it offers an alternative if you were having the same problem as me.
Version 10.0.14393
Found a fix. Went into the windows explorer options. Cleared the privacy options. You can get there by right click on quick access/options
Then uncheck Show recently used files in the Quick access and Show frequently used folders in Quick access.
Glad to see you that found solution. Shouldn't influence your problem, but maybe reset some cache or something. In this case CCleaner should also work. For somebody else, if ever browse this thread.
