Ok, so I downloaded the Media Creation Tool on my computer that's currently running W10 Pro RTM build. I opened the new MCT, and all I see is "Windows 10 64bit". Where is Windows 10 Pro?
I assumed that "Windows 10 64bit" included both Home and Pro, but after I did a clean install using a USB drive, it installed Windows 10 Home on my computer!
Try again, it is there
Where???
Same issue here. Look, I'm really starting to hate this OS, especially due to how they are managing marketing and distribution.
I think those guy not even know that not everybody in the world got a 100mbit connection. You can't stop the updates without killing the "background 'smartest' transfer service", futhermore is impossible to pause and continue the mediacreation tool process. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Wtf are they doing?
let us know if you solve the problem. Thanks.
When you download the image has both home and pro for the selected architecture (x64 or x86).
You make the selection between Home and Pro when the install starts.
Do an update and it will install whatever version you have, obviously it does not work using a USB going by above quoted experiences.
You will have the choice of retaining all your old folders and settings, or a clean install.
I have 5pcs and I assume the update is about 3gbso are they merged in a single iso?
Yes
Just over, yes. You can use the same ISO for all machines, home or Pro as long as they are all 32 bit or all 64 bit. If you have some 32 and some 64 you'll need to download 2 ISOs.
