Hey all.
I updated my windows to 10 and all is good besides the scrolling.
I cannot scroll in the start menu or some other menus in windows. (File explorer works and of curse that in chrome everything works.)
It's just the start menu and basically all the menus in the new windows 10.
The funny thing is that's it shows me the little mark that's get showed when you actually do scroll, but nothing happens.
I'm using Samsung 9 series, with Syntaptics drivers which are installed.
Any suggestions??
Thanks!
I'm guessing its your touch pads two finger scroll that's not working? Are any gestures working like pinch to zoom etc?
Thanks, but that is not the case here.
If i had the two finger scroll turned off it wouldn't have worked on many other programs like it does now.
And the gestures themselves work, i can use 4 finger gestures and all of those... the touch-pad is working properly, its just the windows itself is not responding to the scrolling is some windows. (All are windows windows, like the start menu or settings or at the store..
Ok, I have no idea what's up then?
Thanks anyways :
Any one else?
The only thing I notice, is on the Start Screen with the Start Menu part open. If my cursor is over to the right, on the main screen, scroll doesn't work. If I move it over to the left, into the Start Menu window part, it works.
This will be the best way to explain it all...

I think your looking at running the system file checker, SFC Command - Run in Windows 10 or doing a refresh, Refresh Windows 10.
or worst case scenario, a clean install.
Unfortunately cant help with the main issue as i have had the same since Win 10 came out
The only way i managed it (mine is a Dell but same make of touchpad) was too enable the side scrolling here, which works for both the new style and original style apps
My touch pad doesn't have a dedicated scroll area. There is no scroll without installing the ASUS gesture utility. Just a FYI post. I'll have to go turn it on and double check that scroll works everywhere. If it didn't I think I would have noticed by now though?
