Anyone else still just have this? Imgur I tried to manually install windows 10 by downloading that "Media Creation Tool" but about 70% through windows 10 install, i black screened without my cursor, after about 20 min of that not changing i restarted my PC and i was prompted with "Reverting to previous Operating System"

You were bit by the dual screen support. Try this.
When you get the black screen, press Window key + P, down arrow twice then press enter.
That should switch your display to the secondary display and most likely you will see a desktop.

Hello Joe, and welcome to windowssh blog.

If you like, try the upgrade with the Media Creation Tool (step 3 below) again, but let it sit until finished if you still have hard drive activity.

This somehow turned on the windows narrator who started to say each letter I typed, then said something like "password field" and then after I tried to type my password it said "key remembered" or something... Now my screen is stuck black no matter what.. I think my drivers are screwed, I'm writing this on my phone. I don't have an HDMI input on my monitor to plug to my motherboard to see if that sees anything either.. I'm using a DVI cable

Id like to get your opinion on this, I'm using my phone btw so sorry if this is a little illegible

i I got the update for windows 10 in my Wjndows Updates, downloaded it, installed smoothly but once again around 71% it black screened after restart, so I figured it was just black screened at my password login, so I typed my password, got nothing. No cursor or anything. I tried the suggestion above from the other user but that turned on the windows narrator somehow and he started to babble off a bunch of things he was reading that I couldn't see... So I restarted my desktop and pressed F12 to open the boot menu, launched windows 10 in widows 10 safety mode and I'm STILL black screened. With. No cursor

You might consider reinstalling and activating 7, then upgrade to the free 10 using step 3 below instead.

replying to you back on my pc, i was so frustrated after hours of work and no fix, so i pulled the power cord out of my PC and went to bed and when i woke up and relaunched my PC it reverted me back to windows 7... *sigh* i think it's just an issue with my drivers and not windows 10 actually though.

Glad you got it sorted.
