At the risk of sounding like I'm trolling(believe me I'm not), and I know a lot of people will disagree, but, security wise, I wouldn't allow anything Yahoo near my system with a 10 foot CAT5/CAT6.

Can I have some examples ? I have ymail.com account for years now, not using it often and check Yahoo news all the time and did not have any problems yet.

LOL
Everyone seems to have their favorite. I have probably 20 - 25 different email addresses, from GMail, Hotmail, Outlook, Comcast, and my Yahoo account. Yahoo is my standard, have had it for 20 years, and I agree they have had their ups and downs, but I have to say, my account has not been compromised (that I know of).

But, as far as a Windows App, Yahoo sure beats the rest of them for functionality. I am not an App kind of guy, but the Yahoo Windows App is top notch and is very similar and flexible to use. It mimics very much of the desktop software So as far a Windows apps go, it truly is a pleasure to use over others. Compared to Microsoft's email app it far exceeds it.

As far as your security issues go, years back that may have been the case, but Yahoo really stepped up their game, and is just as robust (if not more so). as its competitor's. Heck if you want, it can be setup to be as secure or not as secure as you would like. You can set it up to send you a mobile text, with a new password every time you log in (no thank you on that one). So, it really comes down to what you like in the end.

I don't have the links now, but older post at Malwarebytes have often enough warned about Yahoo's security(or rather sloppiness there of).
