My laptop is running on Window10 efficiently. Sometimes in order to check the DVDs and USBs bootability of newly created OS or Recovery Disk etc I have to select the relative option in the the bios. But on Lenovo G 50 70 the selected option is not permanent. You have to select boot priority option repeatedly for each and every USB/DVD that I want to check. Can i set these option permanently like:-
1st priority USB
2nd priority DVD
3rd priority HDD
4th priority Network IPV4
5th priority Network IPV6
If possible please help me step by step.
There is a novo key to access the bios in Lenovo Laptop G 50 70.
Thanks in advance

Quote from this post:If you have a Lenovo laptop that came with Windows 8/8.1 preinstalled.
How to install Windows 8/10 64-bit in UEFI Boot Mode.
You do not need to change the UEFI firmware (BIOS) settings. For example, you do not need to change the boot order of drives, or disable Secure Boot, or enable Legacy BIOS (aka CSM) boot mode.
- Connect your Windows 8/10 64-bit USB flash drive (Note:FAT32 file system) or insert your Windows 8/10 64-bit DVD.
- Shut down your laptop.
- Press the NOVO button (see screenshots below). The system loads boot options.
- Select the BOOT MENU option.
- Select your USB/DVD from the boot menu (see screenshots below).
I think you have not understood my query. I want to set the boot priority sequence permanently in bios so that i do not have to do it repeatedly everytime I load a USB or a DVD to check the bootability of the media I have created.
It is possible to set the priority permanently in Desktop PC I am having.I want to set the same priority in my Laptop as well. My Laptop came with Windows 8.1 preloaded and it is already upgraded to Windows 10 Home a long time back.
Setting of boot priority sequence is hardware related and has nothing to do with Operating System. It is the bios which is part of the mother board will have to be configured provided it has that facility within.
I do not understand why you do not want to use the boot menu, because then you do not need to change the boot order of drives.
In my desktop pc if i set the boot priority as 1 usb 2 cd&dvd 3 HDD it remains that way till i change it again. Therefore whenever i insert usb drive or cd dvd into the computer and restart my system -it automatically boots with usb or cd dvd, without going into the boot menu in bios. And if i do not insert anything then it boots with hdd.
Hi friends my name is AAMIR , I made a video for this. How to enter bios setup and boot menu on lenovo g50 series laptop :
Thanks Mr Aamir24 for very useful video. But I want to know one more information. After having selected "Legacy" in bios and selected "USB" as bootable drive, will the USB boot if the same was prepared using UEFI bootable mode at the time of creating USB with Windows 10 or 8.1?
My impression is that we will have to create the bootable media as well in Legacy Mode. I may be wrong as well. Please clear my doubts.
Thanks in advance
