Every time i attempt to install windows 10 on my computer it comes up with this error code through windows update its Code 80246010 this happened after installing it previously but then when i restarted my computer it hanged and ever since then i keep receiving the same error code over and over again. at the moment i am trying to use the media creation tool to install windows 10 but i don't know if that will help. Any ideas?

I hate to post again, but I have no knowledge of how to fix this, and I want to make sure somebody can help me with this.

Try this:

1) Access this file location C:WindowsSoftwareDistributionDownload and delete everything there. (Note delete only content found there and not the Download folder itself)

2) Open CMD (command prompt) with run as administrator (admin privileges) and run this command: wuauclt.exe /updatenow

And on my previous updates for windows 10 that failed after i had the crash im recieving the error code 80010108. And i also have one for a pending restart error code 80242014. Any ideas? I downloaded it over night through windows update and it says. Some updates were not installed Failed 1 update Errors found code 80240FFF.

Hello,

I've had the same problems with my upgrade, and although I actually decided I'd had enough from Windows 10 and rolled back to Windows 8.1 -
I do have a solution for you...

The error codes you gave us relate to Windows Update failing to initialize its download catalog, so the following actions should fix that problem...

1) Access this file location C:WindowsSoftwareDistributionDownload and delete everything there. (Note delete only content found there and not the Download folder itself)

2) *RESTART YOUR COMPUTER*

3) Now run: wuauclt.exe /updatenow in Command Prompt - Be sure to run this Command Prompt at Administrator level.

If this does not work, let us know, and we may be able to provide other suggestions to solve the problem.

Soooo.... I did this, and it said something like "Your Windows 10 Update is ready" and so I clicked the restart now button below it. But when I restarted, it was still Windows 8.1. Thoughts? To be fair, this is further than I had gotten before. Normally there was an error downloading.

Hello everyone i fixed the problem i hard wiped windows 8 and used my reservation for windows 10. I think the windows registry was corrupt.

Have you successfully completed a Windows 10 upgrade and activation on this computer?
If not you will not be able to activate it.
