Problems with Ethernet Connection.

Hi this is my first forum post and i desperately need help. I apologise in advance if i do not post all the information needed regarding my problem to seek out a resolution.

I have owned my PC for almost two years and it has acted up in the past before. At first i suspected it to be the ISP but it was a malfunction within the Ethernet adapter i was using.

This time it is something completely different.
1) My connection is shown as a Public Network and unidentified and therefore i cannot access the internet.
2) The error code i get can when i trouble shoot it can be two different things - at first it was something to do with Missing Socket Entries which only appeared once and the rest of the time it states:

"One or more network protocols are missing on this computer"

I assumed the network protocols were something to do with the IPv4 & IPv6 so i went to configure the adapter and installed the client feature to Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) as the uninstall button was greyed out which led me to assume that it wasnt present in my system.

THIS WORKED and i regained my internet connection temporarily. I left it for the day and upon returning to my PC, the problem has gone back to how it used to be.
I still get the same error message and i cannot seem to understand let alone fix the problems with my adapter.

I don't have a great depth of technological knowledge so any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Really need more on machine specifics. Download "Speccy" from Speccy - System Information - Free Download When it is done running, it will give you a URL. You need to post the URL to a post, so that we can see the specifics for your machine.

Sorry, how am i going to download something if i cant access the internet; what specs am i looking for?

There is one thing you could try but you may need the drivers for your Ethernet after doing it
open a command prompt as administrator and type or paste
Code:
netsh int ip reset
Reboot the computer and if your Ethernet card no longer shows up in adapter settings you will need the Manufactures drivers to reinstall it.

Thats a solution i havent tried yet. I am in the process of restoring my pc to an earlier date so i can try that if that doesnt work.

**UPDATE**

The Network Adapter i am using is a
TP-LINK Model: TL-PA4020P
AV500 2-port Powerline Adapter with AC Pass Through

I have restored my computer to a date where the problem was not apparent and i still encountered the problem. This leads me to believe that it is something to do with my Adapter as the problem must of only arisen recently.

When u said "this worked temporarily",what did u do to fix it temporarily?

Sorry, how am i going to download something if i cant access the internet; what specs am i looking for?
The only way to fix this is for you to download and install Speccy, then post the URL that it gives, so that we can see machine specifics. Otherwise it turns into a 3 legged dog chasing its tail.

I will see what i can do mate

The TP-LINK Model: TL-PA4020P AV500 2-port Powerline Adapter is not you LAN device. It's what you connect you LAN device (card or chip) to. We really need your PC specs and Speccy will provide most of it.

Download Speccy on another computer, put it on a flash drive, bring it to this computer, install and run it.
Copy/save the output on the flash drive, take it to the computer you downloaded Speccy with then post here.
