DPC Latency, stuttering and random freezing

Hi,

Bit of a story, but my z97 itx motherboard, and I was not able to replace it, so I got a z170 + 6700 thinking everything was going to be okay.

Now that I've installed it, I'm experiencing massive DCP latency, stuttering and random freezes (no overheating).

First I bought a Asus z170 itx Pro gaming board, and this was a aboslute nightmare, and the board was terrible (disconnecting my bluetooth devices, not connecting to 5ghz network etc. stuff like that.) So I returned that, and bought a Msi Ac gaming board, hoping the DCP latency was a part of the board, but nay.

Now I've tried a fresh install of windows 10 twice (once where I installed the drivers from Msi) no help, and then I tried to do a another fresh install and let windows install the drivers, but still no luck.

I've disabled NIC and onboard sound drivers.

Heres a pastebin from Latencymon:

I just really don't get it. My z97 system ran like a dream with no problems what so ever, and now this nightmare...

Update:

This is LatencyMon for 1min with Wifi and Lan disabled.

I can se that dxgkrnl is pretty high up, but this is the same driver that I had on my old z97 board, and I can't see why it should be a problem all of a sudden.

UpdateUpdate:

Now i tried to uninstall the nvidia driver, and the problems cease. But ofc I can't go without display drivers.

I read somewhere that USB 3.0 drivers and Nvidia drivers clash often.

But I can't seem to find any new driver for USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller 1.0 (microsoft) for windows 10.
Latest driver for win 7 is just a couple of days old, but the one i have (10.0.10586.0) is from 29.10.2015.

before i say anything stupid. can you have you reinstalled the storage port driver? like deleted software then let windows reinstall it manually?

Nope, not stupid, because this is stupid: Is that safe? I don't loose access to the drives?

from an amateur point of view. access is 1 thing, storage is another. it seems to me that the storage port driver is the most laggy part of all this, unless you have alot of stuff going on that cause the lag.. so if you could fix that i would think most of the issues be solved.

if you could find a way that doesnt make you lose what progress you already have

Change the Power Plan to "High Performance" and see if that makes any difference. I have a recording studio and that is one of the items that is suggested for system tweaks.

Also here is how to post screenshots on this forum. You don't need to host them somewhere else.

Yeah, have already done that. I can edit OP with what I've done.

Ahh, yea thats just an old habit from work and reddit.

Thanks!
