Just installed Corel X7 Suite on Windows 10 and it keep shutting down at startup on my laptop. I have intel core i7 with 8GB memory so not sure what the issue might be.
Can anyone advise on a possible solution?
I have WordPerfect X6 on a Win10 Notebook with an i5 CPU and 8GB RAM, no problems. I'd try reinstalling or maybe uninstall then try again.
on my system, the CorelDraw7 program always hangs at the welcome screen..
it refuses to load the opening YouTube video, and the program freezes..
if I CTRL_Alt_Delete at this point and try again, the same thing happens - it freezes
if I simply re-start the program over the frozen instance, it will then load successfully..
and then when I go CTRL_Alt_DEL and End the frozen instance, the reloaded program continues to run OK..
- very strange, reckon Corel ought to be looking into this, from their end..
BTW - I'm running the 11082 Insider Preview
I hope Corel finds a solution soon. I can't use this at all. I had to get the home edition and that works fine. But I'll need the Suite for my work! The patches that are posted on their site didn't resolve this issue
Can individual components of the suite be started without problems?
I'm thinking the suite starter package makes a call that conflicts with other installed software. If the suite settings can be accessible, disable the "Welcome" settings.
Good Luck
Strangely it opens when I open an existing file I've created. I disabled the welcome screen and so far it opened up without crashing. I'll keep on testing it.
Thank you all!
- to disable the welcome screen:
- after disabling, and restarting - the program will initialise..
- however, if you then invoke the Welcome Screen from within CorelDrawX7, it stalls at the YouTube call
- and freezes up completely..
- it's definitely the initial YouTube call causing the program to crash..
Thank you! It seems like after I turned off the Welcome Screen, it was working fine. I am glad that was the only problem so far
Thanks again for all the feedback!
