No option to disable required password waking from sleep in 1607

My Toshiba updated to 1607 the other day and I found it wasn't sleeping with the timeout I have set in power options. So I created a new power plan and set the sleep timeout again. When I went to wake the system I found I'd forgotten to disable the option to require a password on wake up. But the option in the options for all my power plans is gone now.

I've always had the system settings configured not to require a password to sign in to windows when it boots up. And that's still working.

Can anyone point me to where this setting may have been moved?
Thanks

As I wrote above, I've always had that set to never. That deals with requiring a password when you 1st boot into Windows. The option I need is the one that used to be in my power plans when waking from sleep.

That isit.

^ That did it for me.

As I said, that's exactly what I have always had set to bypass entering a password when booting into Windsows.

Here's a screenshot of what I've got:

My problem is not when booting into windows, it's when I recover from sleep. That was always a setting in the power plan. Look in there on a system updated to 1607, and tell me if you find it.

Hello ohante,

That is the new setting location for require password on wakeup that used to be in power plan settings. You might toggle the setting to see if it may help to apply it again.

Ah.... so maybe I have to set it to "When PC wakes up from sleep", reboot, and then change it back to "Never" to get the new power plan I made to recognize the setting. Shades of what I used to do in the early days of XP.

Well it's not working. I can't get my new power plan to wake from sleep without having to enter my password. And the problem of the system not going into sleep on my existing plans that worked before 1607 is still a problem.

I just toggled the setting as you suggested Brink, and tested waking from sleep. But that didn't work. So I set it to "When PC wakes up from sleep" and then rebooted. I changed it back to 'Never", but both problems still exist. I rebooted again after setting it back to "Never" with no success.

Have you disabled UAC, or set UAC settings to "Never notify" instead of the default setting by chance?

I've had one person report back that disabling UAC caused Windows to always require a password on wakeup even when it was set to "Never"..
