I read lots of mail on how the Upgrade is FREE, but nowhere do I see anything
about the cost (or no cost) of Windows 10 Updates.
Is that policy spelled out anywhere of do I just wait and hope ??

Once you upgrade, updates will be free for the "supported lifetime of the device".

MS hasn't clarified this yet, but they have promised a minimum of 36 months of support starting on the operating system's launch date.
