Windows.old folder

I can't remove the windows.old folder when i try its saying access is denied. I tried from Disk cleanup too but it's still there.

Try typing "clean" in the search bar and right-click and run as administrator.

I have not been using Windows'own Disk Cleanup since Windows 7, 3 years ago.
I am NOT saying Disk Cleanup is no good. Just not my preference.
I have been using Ccleaner since then. Pick the free edition for now.


Open Ccleaner > left side, under Windows tab > scroll down to Advanced > check the box " Old Windows Installation" > right side, click Analyze > after that click Run Cleaner.

I use CCleaner too but it didn't delete the folder

Edit* It worked I had to restart the PC

I did that but it didn't delete the folder.

Thank you all for the reply it has 3 drivers in it so it's not taking any space

Ok, so I restarted the PC and it got deleted I think Unlocker worked finally!
