This is the Update information that I have on 1 of my 3 PCs.
On the 2nd, the necessary update has been installed i.e. KB3035583 but there is nothing in the system tray.
On the 3rd, the notification icon is there in the system tray, but no email confirmation was initiated.
So, for the moment, I appear to be only able to upgrade 1 of my 3 PCs.
You can update all PC's. The "reservation" is only needed to automatically update via Windows Update. You can always download the ISO and upgrade from that.

Nothing happens after the 1st year. You can keep Windows 10 for free. The only thing that might cause a problem with registration is if you upgraded from an OEM licensed Windows 7 and you replace the motherboard with a different model. More than likely, if you change the motherboard or move it to a different computer, you will have to re-install Windows 7, and perform the upgrade again. I have ordered the retail version, I'll be doing the Get Windows 10 upgrade tomorrow and playing around with that until I get the retail box.More than likely, if you change the motherboard or move it to a different computer, you will have to re-install Windows 7, and perform the upgrade again. I want to back up the upgrade version before I do a clean install so I have a spare copy of 10.
