This happens all too frequently lately, mp3s will not play and videos will play in slow motion or not at all. Haven't found a solution to this annoying problem yet.
What music player are you using? Are you using VLC?
Kindly provide us with some more information. What media player are you using? Do you get any error message (if any)? Please describe the issue in more detail.
Are these files that are on your computer? are you streaming them live from some web site? If you are streaming videos, like from YouTube, this will have more to do with your internet connection and speed.
Test your internet speed at if it i less then the speed you are paying for, have your ISP test the lines.

I never heard of the Media Player 12 that you use, but if it dosen't work try something else.

Tried several apps, set defaults. I have just rebooted and I can play music and watch videos; Something happens when the PC has been left on for a long time, videos don't play in Firefox or chrome.
So for now it is a quick reboot.
So this is good right? This post indicates that you CAN play videos and music at the beginning of the post but towards the end it states that you can not play videos using a web browser. So download the videos first and then view them.
