Hello,
lately I've been having issues where I'm watching a YouTube video and my sound will just suddenly cut out and make like a robotic sound before cutting off.. and i have to refresh the page and get the video to play again in order for the sound to be fixed.. it's so often now and it's getting pretty annoying.. this only happens on Windows 10 for me.. not on 8.1 from what i remember at all.. I've tried installing fresh GPU drivers and latest realtek audio drivers for my system and the issue still occurs.. really not for sure where to go with this problem.
I assume you have tried plugging in headphones in case it is a mechanical electric fault with the wiring on your speakers?
headphones are all i use and I've tried other headsets and same result.
It could be a problem with the video source itself, or a problem with the internet signal somewhere between source and your computer. Is it like that with every single You Tube video you play?
it's not with every video.. it's random when it happens with different videos.. i use a ethernet cable.. the next time it happens, i plan on testing my sound once it happens to see if it's just the youtube video and not my whole system losing sound.. which i believe it's just youtube but i could be wrong...
EDIT: also while just listening to a video, I'm hearing a bit of static in between sometimes.. if this will help determine what the issue is at all.
Assuming there is not due to network bandwidth when watching a HD video, I would first update the Adobe Flash version to the latest. For Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer this is done by Windows Update. For any other browser you go at Then I would uninstall the Realtek HD audio driver, restart the computer and install the latest official driver from www.realtek.com Forget any outdated driver at your computer's or motherboard's support site. Get the latest one for Windows 10 directly from Realtek.
I already have the latest flash player for Firefox, just checked.. I will uninstall the realtek audio drivers completely and do as you suggested and get them from the website and will check back for the results.. thanks!
I had the same problem.
I think its a bug that will be fixed in uncoming update 12 november for windows.
I had the same robotic sound only in youtube and then it was cutting off.
Today i upgraded my sound drivers to Realtek HD Audio Driver 6.0.1.7655 WHQL from station driver here:
-http://www.station-drivers.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&view=topic&Itemid=255&catid=4&id=7&lang=en&limitstart=532
Win 10 x64
PackageVersion = PG436
DriverVer= 11/03/2015, 6.0.1.7655
And for five hours i dont have this problem.
I wait your input.
problem is still occuring.. a little bit less than before.. it's most likely going to be fixed with this update coming November 12 I'm guessing.. nothing I've done has fixed it.. doing the latest update through realtek did help a bit but that is all.
Try to play some music on the system without using You Tube to see if it's the sound player or just on You Tube?
