Bluetooth headphones connect but headset portion does not

All,

I have a surface pro 4, fully updated. I also have a pair of Revo bluetooth headphones. They also feature blutetooth calling capabilities (i.e. microphone).

I used to connect these without a problem. Recently something strange has been happening. Now when they connect on the headphones (i.e. stereo audio only) is recognized as an audio device.

Normally Windows recognizes headsets like this as two separate devices - headphones for audio and headsets for calling. I can confirm that device manager sees them both as functioning normally. But, as shown below, the headset portion is showing as disconnected. But there is no way to connect it.

I have uninstalled and deleted the device and re-paired it. Nothing works. Thoughts?

I have the exact same problem with my Bluebuds X

I have tried to manually add a driver through windows driver update (you can choose a driver device from the list)
but i'm not sure which one is compatible and had no luck getting the headset portion to work...

Please let me know if you have found a solution!

Thanks!

*bump* No word on this yet. I'm not sure why this is behaving like this. It worked fine at one point (well, fine for Windows) but just stopped working.

I've gone through the dance of uninstalling and reinstalling and even so far as as to mess with the bluetooth services. Nothing seems to work. This is very odd and seems like there is a switch somewhere that is preventing windows from recognizing buletooth headsets b/c it happens with both of my headphones.

Any thoughts out there?

*tap tap tap* Is this thing on?? I've looked at a few blog and tried a bunch of stuff. Nothing out there?

The Revo headset did not work in Feb fast ring update of Windows 10.

It works 100% in the current version 14279 March 04/03/16

Switch the headset switch to Bluetooth recognition ( 3rd position) should switch head set to default sound in Control Panel /Sound and works well in my Realtek sound setup.

The on/off switching initialising did not work on its own, and did not reset Bluetooth recognition
Make sure you click "pair" again in Settings /Bluetooth.
May need a reboot to be sure.

Yea, but neither of the bluetooth headsets work. They all fail to initialize the microphone. I don't think it's the headset.

I'm really stuck on this problem? Any luck @tsur1?

*bump* Just checking to see if anyone has fixed this.

After a round of updates, including firmware and drivers, still no luck on this issue. Anyone else still having this problem?
