How to install a new driver downloaded from Microsoft Update catalog ?

As I encounter problems with my Lan driver Realtek and Windows 10 Pro 64, somone on the forum said me to download the last version from Microsoft update catalog which seems the good one.

So I downloaded the driver but it is a .cab file. When I unpacked the files I obtain four files : a .cat file, a .inf file, a .sys file and a .DLL file. There is no setup.exe file....

I tried to install the driver using the command "HDWWIZ". It sees the .inf file but noting installs......

Where is the problem ?

Just open Device Manager, under Network adapters find "Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller", right click it and select "Update driver", "Browse my computer...", and then click either "Browse" and select the folder with your driver or choose "Let me pick..." below, then "Have disk" and point to your .inf file.

If you have PCIe GBE Family Controller (or any other of the same family), use the third driver down from here:
Realtek

Version 8.038. Extract the zip and use the same method post #2 to load it. That driver also allows you to use Wake On Lan when the computer shuts down, even with Fast Startup enabled. Everything works perfect with it.

Thank you. Yes I have an integrated Realtek PCIe Family Controller and Windows 10Pro.

Driver V8.038 just installed........and the same issue with the others (even the last V.10.2.730.2015). All's Normal just after the installation and after a few minutes (maximum) the connection speed falls down.
If I change a parameter in the driver properties it works normally.......for one or 2 minutes......and so on !!!
Very curious.....!!! I'm searching since 3 days without result....!!
I also have a laptop with this Realtek Controller and all's works (Windows 10 family instead of Windows 10 Pro on the desktop computer)

Seems like it is something other than the driver. I have that controller working perfectly on my desktop and at least one laptops (haven't looked to see if the other laptops have it).
