Reversed/Inverted touchpad scrolling

Hello,
I just updated my win7 to win10, despite several negligible issues, so far I'm rather content about it.
HOWEVER there is one little, yet major problem I encounter and have no idea how to deal with; mentioned in the thread title.
I browsed several options, lurked around settings, internet, friends- no straight forward method found.
So, here I am, asking for your assistance: Can you help me set the touchpad back, to behave as it used to in win7? My laptop does not have touchscreen, therefore i have no need to use this built-in 'feature', which is no good for me at all.

Cheers,
XaL

Hey there,

While I can't help with your specific set up - I can give you a hint of a few places to look.

1) Check out the touchpad software settings (for my machines, that's usually the synaptics touchpad software). You can bring up Windows 10 context menu's regarding the touchpad by right clicking on the start button on the bottom left of the screen. From there, choose "Control panel". In there, click on the mouse settings. There are usually several tabs here, you will have to hunt for which one will be relevant for your touchpad. I found mind as "switch direction" in a synaptics tab.
2)Click on the Start button again. Click on "Settings". From here, there is the "ease of access". There is the "mouse" field here (which offers different buttons than the control panel route). There is also an 'other options' that may show different data for you than it does for me since you set up is different.

having the exact same issue,
when i bring my finger down i want my screen to come down ! not up !

I checked the box that said to make it reversed in the direction that i scroll and that makes it the right way

So windows is wrong by default

I just recently upgraded to Windows 10. It set my synaptics touchpad 1.7 to enable reverse scrolling by default. I change it in the settings in the control panel and it works as I want it to again. However, every time I restart my computer it switches back to inverted by default. Very frustrating. Anyone with a fix?
