Is there a list with the latest Windows drivers per OS ?

Hi,

Short intro: i'm a sysadmin and recently joined this forum. Mainly to train myself in analyzing BSOD's and whilst doing that, helping people out. Now the reason i became interested in BSOD's is because of BSOD's at work.

We use SCCM for staging. With a task-sequence, the OS, drivers and what not are being deployed.
Now, our company is fairly large +5000 employees and its structure is pretty complex. i'm not getting in to that but bottom line is that there are several IT-branches and 1 central IT branch. The central IT branch creates and maintain the staging image.

Currently we are on Windows 7. Now having said all that , our image contains old drivers.
Our main problems is with 2 USB drivers. Since the drivers our from 2013 , i know these should be updated.

Now, my question in (and i'm afraid the answer will be "no") , is there a website that lists the latest drivers (name & date) for windows 7 (or per OS for that matter?).

I can't just say, i'll enable Windows Updates and download all updates that are presented.
But these drivers should be updates i'm sure.

I have come across this tool named Snappy Driver Installer (Snappy Driver Installer)
Its free and is a sort of offline library for drivers. But i'm hesitant towards such tools. Tools like "driver booster" etc all do more harm than good and so i'm unsure about SDI as well. I did run this tool on an off-domain box and for sure it immediately pointed out (not installed nor did it suggest to install) outdated drivers. The USB drivers were (as expected) on that list.

So i hope i didn't make this post to long but for those that don't want to read as much:

Us there a website (or something else) that lists the latest drivers (name & date) for windows 7 (or per OS for that matter?).

The short answer has to be no.

The longer answer - there has to be an MS database for Win 10 in particular which Win 10 uses to maintain drivers (it uses a different paradigm for drivers to previous OS's). I can't imagine it's viewable.
But it doesn't always represent the 'latest' drivers for a particular device.

And as you know, manufacturers release custom drivers, particularly for laptops.

Clearly driver scanning tools (not in general recommended) make reference to some database- but again, this isn't likely to be viewable. (There's competition between these tools!)

Then there are the many sites that supposedly host drivers. And all the hardware variants and versions..

So the answer is there's no simple answer.

Yeah i already came to that conclusion myself, but against all odds i was still hoping on a more positive answer :'(

The only thing i can come up with of doing is to install a legit normal copy (not on domain) of Windows 7 and update that client to the fullest extant. Then retrieve that driver and deploy it to my domain test machines. But i mean, seriously :/
