Update not working

Hey there,

while my Windwos 10 Upgrade overall was fine I got an issue with a Windows 10 Update which I can not install. It runs through up until 79%, then hangs for about 20 minutes, then restarts and rolls back. The whole process needs about 45 minutes and it happened several times already.

What I tried:
- deleted old/empty user profiles
- cleared disk space
- manual install

Any ideas would be very appreciated!

Greetings

Anyone?

No one got any idea!?

What is the update for? If it is a device driver (e.g. a USB webcam) make sure that the device is connected an switched on before trying the update

Which update exactly is failing?

I got two updates failing, but it seems this one here is the main offender:

(KB3081455)
(KB3081449)

Hard to say which one is culprit. There are several others which failed since august. But these two appear all the time.

There is no known issue with these updates; meaning: They should install correctly.

What is the error code, which Windows Update gives you?

No error code, just rolling it back after it installed them halfway. I tried a google search over and over again and there are issues with these cummulative updates. However, none of those solutions so far helped me.

Tips for Solving Windows Update Issues

When you now open WIndows Update, then it should show you these updates as available. And next to them there should be an error code...

You can try option 2 from this tutorial: Windows Update - Reset - Windows 7 Help blog
This should reset the WIndows update components. Maybe these updates install correctly afterwards...

No dice, doesn't help. Still goes up to 79% and then rolling back.
