The title says it all.
You could click on office 2010 in programs and features, click on change and choose repair. Then while in word for example, check for updates.
Just an idea.
No problems with updates for 2010 here. Then again I installed this,
Download Service Pack 2 for Microsoft Office 2010 (KB2687455) 64-Bit Edition from Official Microsoft Download Center
Download Service Pack 2 for Microsoft Office 2010 (KB2687455) 32-Bit Edition from Official Microsoft Download Center
first, and then let Windows Update finish the rest. Worth a shot.
That's one of the ones that failed so did your's fail at first also?
Ha! It said that no products on this computer that are affect by this update! Why was it trying to install it??
Try SP1 first,
Download Service Pack 1 for Microsoft Office 2010 (KB2460049) 64-bit Edition from Official Microsoft Download Center
Good call, downloading now and it isn't in my already installed update list although I downloaded again from my Amazon purchase history so it might have SP1 included. A repair install did help as it did install a few more that wouldn't before.
Same response as SP2!
I kept on trying to install SP2, some it would hang on preparing to install, installing or checking for updates. Left the room on preparing to update SP2 and find it downloading more updates! Finally it had installed SP2 and I have no updates. The updates must have out of sequence stopping SP2 from installing, once that installed more updates were required. Thanks for the help!
Yesterday's WUP reinstalled many of the Office updates that were installed when I had this Office update problem a week ago. New Office updates created the need to reinstall previous updates???
