Hi All,
Is anyone else in here receiving this error message when trying to install the latest update on the fast ring ?
Thanks,
David

Mine went quite smoothly. Only issue I have is it keeps looking for an Office XP Service Pack 3 to install and this computer was a clean install when starting with Technical Preview and never has Office XP/2002 on it. Have now given up on getting it from Microsoft, all the pages for download have been discontinued even though Search can find the KB. Now need to figure how to hide it, nothing seems to be presenting itself on how-to.

Hi Berton,
As I have to leave for work in just a few minute's, I'll have to try again tomorrow on my day off.

Tried quite a few times. It downloads properly then reboots and looks like its installing, but same error...

Have you tried using the ISO to build an bootable installer? Lots of times when Windows Update fails in process, installing from local media will work. Give it a try if you haven't already.
Sergey Tkachenko has links to unofficial ISO images for Build 14905 at WinAero.com. I've used his stuff before: he's reliable.

Update: fixed the Office XP issue, turned out I had installed Microsoft Photo Editor as a test for someone and it identifies with Office XP. I thought the program was older than that so I uninstalled it and no more of that update problem.

Hi All,
I'm typing this post on the computer that I first posted the topic on, yesterday I performed a 'Reset This PC' operation, so I could clear out some of the 'junk' that builds up over time. I'm currently using the built-in windows defender for my security software. I still don't like windows defender due to the fact that it takes SO long to perform even a 'quick scan'. At least now when I check foe a build update I'm not receiving the error message that I was receiving. I keep reading on various web page's where user's are having various issue's with build 14905, maybe I should just wait for the next available build and not even worry about trying to install build 14905.
