KB3081438 affected my 2 desktops ,(clean install) and a Toshiba laptop (update from win 8.1)
KB3081436 affected only the Toshiba laptop.
I have an ASUS desktop and tried the direct download method with no luck. Still unable to install this update.

Me neither is an update from Win 8. I have been able to get the update installed. It required me to go in and edit my registry. There was a rogue key left from Nvidia.
