Windows 10 build 1511 NOT SOLVED!

Hello,

I am having issues with getting the latest build of windows 10.My current build is 10240 and I want to upgrade to version 1511.My windows version is Enterprise 64-bit.I have tried manually updating, turning off my firewall and using windows media creation tool(says it can not upgrade my pc)

Media creation tool does not apply to Enterprise versions.
You need to contact the source of your enterprise for the upgrade, or the volume licensing center.

I never have an Enterprise version and that is all I know about it.

It may be the Enterpriseversion that is the problem. I haven't had any problems with the Pro and Home versions getting the update to 1511 10586.0. Further updates now have the RTM at 10586.63. You may have to check with where you got that version, maybe they have it available. My understanding is that the Enterprise version isn't updated in the same manner as Home and Pro.

MCT is not applicable to Enterprise version.

I have found the solution and it is going into privacy seetings and setting it to full,it removed my update restrictions

MCT is not applicable to Enterprise version.
Didn't know I had mentioned using MCT.

Didn't know I had mentioned using MCT.
You are right, you had not mentioned MCT.
However, the OP said " using windows media creation tool(says it can not upgrade my pc) "
And you opened the reply by saying " It may be the Enterpriseversion that is the problem". That linked to the subject of MCT.
And that is why I said "MCT is not applicable to Enterprise version. "

Never mind it did not do anything, enabling insider builds does not download them through windows update!

You won't get Enterprise upgrade through Windows Update either. It does not work that way in Enterprise version.

Updating Windows 10 Enterprise to November Update

As for Enterprise, it’s a bit trickier, and there is a reason. If you are working in a managed environment where you authenticate on a Windows Server Domain; based on your Administrator’s discretion you might not get the 1511 Update for Enterprise until your IT department does appropriate testing and validation to ensure it does not break anything. With the move to a more rapid update cycle, Microsoft has introduced significant changes to how IT departments worldwide deploy updates and new revisions of Windows. With the recent mishap regarding privacy settings for build 10586, it is a perfect example why upgrades are not pushed automatically to the Enterprise edition through Windows Update.
That being said, Microsoft did also release an updated Windows 10 Enterprise 1511 ISO to its various software portals such as the Volume License Service Center, MSDN, and Dreamspark. Depending on your support system within your organization and the relationship that exist between you and your IT department, you could negotiate being part of a pilot to get the upgrade early. It is also possible for you to access your company’s Volume License Service Center then download the update and perform the upgrade yourself.

If the above not applicable to you, I would suggest that you reinstall back to your previous Windows OS > activate it > upgrade to Windows 10 RTM either through Windows Update or through ISO file.

Problem is my friend who has the same exact version of windows gets updates frequently,so I am sure that there is a problem with the OS.Does using the ISO mean that I loose all of my data?
