Windowas 10 Activation error

I download windows 10 upgrade from windows 7. Cannot activate. I've contacted the Answer desk numerous times. They have verified that my product code is correct even though the error msg says no. They have taken control of my laptop to check everything and the final answer was: Wait 24-48 hours. I got this answer several times, even though it has been well over a week. Today some updates appeared and I was hoping this would be a fix. No such luck.
What do I do now?

Exactly, step by step, what process did you use to upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7.

I followed the instructions,/prompts. I wasn't given any other instr but to follow the prompts

Right click the start button.
Click onCommand Prompt (Admin)

Type (copy and paste) the following command:

slmgr.vbs -ato

Hit Enter on your keyboard.
Exit the command prompt.
Restart your computer.

I get the following msg: Windows Script Host
" Activating Windows (R) Core edition (2b1f36bb-c1cd-4306-bf5c-ao367c 2d97d8).....
Error 0xC004C003 The activation server determine the specified product key is blocked"

One more thing you can try is in an elevated command prompt type "slui 4" without the quotes. That will open the phone activation window.

If that doesn't work, I would try the slmgr /ato a few times over the next 2 or 3 days. If it still does not activate, Microsoft has been pretty much refusing to activate it for people over the phone, but you can call them and try again.

Last resort - have to go back to Windows 7. Once that is activated, use the "Upgrade this PC now" option of the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool to upgrade again. Hope that one activates.

thank you. I've tried those suggestions and will keep trying. thank you for your help

With the help (?) Of tech support, Uninstaller 10, reinstalled 7 but it will not start. The auto repair doesn.t work. Tech support couldn't help so transferred me to another dept in which I was promptly disconnected. So now I have nothing!

Did you do a complete clean install of Windows 7 by booting from the installation DVD or USB and deleting all the partitions on the hard drive as the first step of the install?

No. The Microsoft tech just went to the option to "go back to windows 7" not sure how he got to that option.
