Hello everyone,
I have assembled a new PC.
Everything working fine, I clean installed windows 10.
The only thing Im curious about is boot time.
When I press the power button there goes aprox 25 seconds before screen turns ON and few second after
I see the ASUS logo with bios options, after that windows starts normal (aprox 50 seconds).
Did I miss something while assembling the PC?
My PC details:
OS: Windows 10 Pro
Motherboard: ASUS X99-E WS
CPU: Intel Xeon Processor E5-1650 v3
CPU FAN: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
RAM: 4x 16 Kingston DDR4 2133MHz ECC
GPU: GeForce GTX 780
PSU: Corsair RM750w Modular PSU
Drive: 2x 256 Samsung SSD 850 Pro
DVD Drive: ASUS DVD-Burner 24X Black SATA Model DRW-24F1ST
CASE: Fractal Design Define R5
Here is 2 connection Im not sure about.
Mine usually takes the length of time it takes me to draw the curtains in the morning. Have you gone through the BIOS settings to see if theres any optimisations you can do? I assume AHCI is enabled.

Actually the length of the boot time is not the problem, Im just curious about the first 25 seconds where nothing happens after I press the Power button.

Yes there can be a period of time between pressing the power button and the BIOS screen appearing.

The three items you have circled on your image of your board are all ATX power ports.........if you decide to use multiple GPUs then you will want to add additional power to the port just above the GPU slots......
One thing to keep in mind with your board is that you will need a PSU that provides a constant minimum of 350w output capablity and it should be stable..
It is recommend that you use a PSU with a higher power output when configuring your system with more power-consuming components. Your system may become unstable or not boot if your PSU is inadequate...
Should you decide to use two or more high-end PCIe x16 cards you really should be using a PSU with 1000w power or more to ensure stability......
I hope I have answered your question about the plug-ins on your board.......I hope you enjoy your new build and the WS boards from ASUS are some great performers.....I salute you on your choice here....

With the components you have installed now I would think you are fine; however, when and if you decide to take advantage of all the options that the ASUS Work Station board offers you will need as they say "more power".......
The PSU is in most cases the most overlooked component in the system and it is in my opinion the most important component......stable clean power will enable all components to operate at peak performance and prolong the life of other parts of the build......
