Hey gang, i have 2 computers that i installed W10 on about a week apart one has Windows 10 Home (x64) 1115 (build 10586) on it, the other has Windows 10 Home (x64) (build 10240) !!!
My question : what is the difference between build 10586 and build 10240 ????
Thanks
Chuck
the pc with 10240 on it has not yet been update to 10586
Kyhi so you are saying that the difference is the installed updates & apps from MS ??
Chuck
Yep I think that's what Kyhi is saying as the current Windows 10 build with the latest update is 10586.17.
Anyone got a link for Windows 10 Home (x64) 1115 (build 10586)or an updated version ?? Going to replace Windows 10 Home (x64) (build 10240) and download the (build 10586) !!
Thanks
Chuck
You need to check on Windows Update - Advanced Options and see how it is setup. W10 Home normally does an auto update so if your system is online then it should have updated. If it is on a Metered Connection then it won't update on it's own.

Thought i'd check back with this topic so others might see my results !
phoneman <<< my comps were set to automatic update & it never showed up that it changed to a different build, even after a repair install of the system W10 !!
davidhk <<< thanks for the links ! I used the Media Creation link & ran it .... it updated my computer to Windows 10 Home (x64) 1115 (build 10586) !! Thank you !
Now it's running smooth & no problems just like my other one !!
Thanks
Chuck
You are welcome.
