Windows 10 and Samsung 850 EVO SSD performance issues

I have just upgraded to Windows 10 and am getting extremely slow performance from my Samsung 850 Evo SSD. Running Samsung magician to test my benchmark performance, I am getting:
Random read/write (IOPS) of 16483/17594 respectively
Seq Read/Write (MB/s) of 245/462 respectively

As a comparison, on windows 8.1 I was getting (with the same SSD drive) :
Random read/write (IOPS) of 27271/21279 respectively
Seq Read/Write (MB/s) of 759/1537 respectively

Note that I have not changed any of the hardware setup - I have just installed Windows 10.
My system is as follows:
Samsung NP535U3C notebook
AMD A6-4455M APU 2.10GHz
64 bit Windows 10 Home
Samsung 850 EVO 120GB

Relevant Device drivers:
Standard SATA AHCI Controller

Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this? I have tried using the Samsung Magician (with various performance regimes)- but am getting nowhere.

I am using evo 250GB SSD. I installed magician. I found it is not improving performance. With out that, I am finding performance better in actual read/write. I am not finding any difference between 8.1 and 10in working and read/write.

What version of Samsung magician are you running? Check if rapid is enabled in your installed version. Version 4.6 will not enable rapid. I had to downgrade my version to 4.4 before I could enable rapid.

I got 4.5 with my SSD. I used that. From where to get 4.4? Will it work in win10?

If you can enable rapid with 4.5 you're all fine and your slow performance must be due to other reasons. Possibly a fresh install of Windows 10

There's no support for windows 10 yet so I would not trust anything that app says. I'd try something else to test speeds

I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I boot a dual SSD using RAID-0 with the EVO 850 and my boot time is about 5-sec. I can check numbers tonight when I get home if you like.

I agree with zahl, don't use it until it explicitly states Windows 10.

I have a 500GB 840 EVO on Win 7 and the 500GB 850 EVO that was on Win 8.1 and now Win 10. I haven't timed the boot but its as fast or faster than 8.1.
