Power failure Windows 10

Hello, please help me. My problem is accidentally run out of power while installing upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7. I have successfully installed Windows 10 through a bootable drive created with the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft. The problem is, I cannot activate Windows and I do not have the option to return to Windows 7 and upgrade from there because I think it was corrupted by the power failure (silly me). Thanks in advance

windows 7 should still be in the windows.old folder if you tried to upgrade..
but it appears you then did a clean install of windows 10
you should be able to activate windows 10 with the product key on your windows 7 COA

Go to settings, updates and security, then activation tab on the left. Click change product key, enter the Windows 7 product key from the Certificate of Authenticity (COA) sticker on your computer.

Saw the sticker. Will update if everything goes well. Thanks a lot

Hi i tried entering the product key it says that it cant activate this version of windows 10. The bootable drive i created was windows 10 home single language. The original os was windows 7 home premium. What should i do now?

Why Single Language ?
Is your Win 7 Home Premium also come with Single Language ?
If no, then, based on my understanding, you have downloaded the wrong iso file.

Ahh ok cause when I created a bootable drive for my win 7 laptop using another computer the only choices were windows 10 windows 10 home single lang and windows 10n. So should k choose windows 10 only?

Download "Windows 10" and install the "Home" version

The only options are Windows 10, Windows 10 Home Single Lang, and Windows 10N. So which one? Thanks

Your iso file must match with the Edition, Language and Bit-version that your computer is now running.

If your Win 7 did NOTcome with N, or KN, or Single Language version, then yes, you should have selected Windows 10.
