I started installing Windows 10 and my laptop restarted a few times but for the past three days it's been stuck on a black screen that just says 'packard bell' there's no mouse, no way to re boot it. I've tried turning off and on but it just does the same. Help would be appreciated
when shutting it off, try pressing F8 (typically) and see if you can restore it.
It's still not working
Typically, you would turn the computer off, then when you restart, you would repeatedly press F8 as the computer goes through the bootstrap phase, which would then bring up the boot options screen instead of trying to boot directly into Windows. This may not necessarily work with all modern computers, and I don't know your computer. Look on the initial screen to see if there are directions to reach the boot options. For example, on my Dell laptop, in the upper right hand corner of the initial screen, it gives Boot Options F12. Don't know is this will help you but worth a try.
Yeah I know what you mean because it's what my laptop used to do. But I've pressed every single button and nothing is working :/
Okay I take that back, I was pressing the power button before pressing f12 but I finally did it and now it's in recovery which kind of sucks because I don't have my things backed up.. :/ but thank you so much!
