Cannot download a picture received in an email

I am new to this computer and windows 10. I am trying to use as WALLPAPER a picture I received in an email but i cannot even save it.
A right click only gives me the COPY option.

Which E-Mail program? Do you have an option to save an attachment? Does the Copy allow you to select a location where you can Paste it? Or is it just copying the image for the paste into a program such as Paint [Start, All Apps, W, Windows Accessories] which then would allow saving.

I speculate a lot...... with certain amount of "educated" guess.
This is one of them.

Which of the following applies :
1. Picture comes as an attachment ?
2. Picture is embedded in the message column ?

Reading from your post, seems to me #2 applies................... Picture is embedded in the message column .
If yes, right click at it should give you 2 options :
1. Copy
2. Save picture as.

Select option #2 > Save it to a folder.
You can now decide what to do with it.
For example .........You can right click at the picture > click Set as desktop background.

The pic is embedded in the email. I can copy it and AltV it into a new folder but actually the whole email is copied. If I the rt click on it only the COPY option opens up in the folder. The email program I am using is the one that comes with windows 10 I haven't downloaded Outlook yet.

OK. You are using the Mail app.

Use the built-in Snipping Tool
Start > All apps > scroll down to W > open Windows accessories > locate snipping tool > pin to Start or > click More > pin to taskbar.

How to use Snipping Tool

Note : Uncheck this before you use snipping tool...............
Open Snipping Tool > click Options > Uncheck "Show screen overlay when snipping tool is active" >OK

Open the email where the picture is > open Snipping Tool > capture the picture > File > Save As > save it to a folder of your choice.

Thanks David, I will have to try this tomorrow. Need to run to work now. Will let you know.

Hello David, there has to be an easier way. On my Mac I only right click on an attached on embedded pic and can save it to the Photo Folder or do whatever. Thanks for your interest in solving my issue.

Well, if you use an email client other than that rudimentary Mail app.
My suggestion is to go back to the email program you were using before Mail app. I would advise that you stay with it.
