Administrator and still need permission?

I'm utterly confused about the permissions needed. I am the sole user on my pc. Under accounts, is myself only as Admin and password protected...(that's another issue)...
I copied a folder from ThisPC/C/Games/Folder and tried to paste it in my E:/ drive, my dvd drive, but I keep getting 'You'll need to provide Administrator permission to copy to this folder"

I AM the admin. Since I can't do this I'm having to copy that folder to my network Public folder and then burn it to dvd using my laptop which is double the time taken.
I've googled Permissions but it's mind boggling because there are so many different problems and so many different solutions that I don't know which one to apply.

I get that as well, I just click OK. This is MS's way of protecting you from yourself.

I clicked ok and it still gives me the same thing.

Then take ownership of that folder

Gary quick question, How to you paste a link from the tutorials forum for a user asking help on a subject, like u just did?? I've tried 2 times, 2 different ways, and it didn't work??

To the OP: Doesn't it ask you to enter your admin credentials? It should be as simple as that.

When you get the dialog box saying "You'll need to provide Administrator permission to copy to this folder" what options are you given?

Hey Mike,

While you have the tutorial open, you can copy the URL from the address bar, and paste it in the post.
