Windows 10 UA Not Liking It

Several issues after upgrade:
1)VPN Remote desk top icon does not load, but configuration still works to connect?
2)You cant turn off Contana, I'm not keen on this, its bothersome. I had it shut off completely before upgrade.
3)High contrast settings still not fixed. Now, on FireFox the Google logo does not even show on the web page.
4) Notifications were tuned back on, there annoying.

So far not impressed, if performance is better then its the best I can hope for I guess.

Hi,
2) I never see anything related to Cortana pre or post upgrade unless I specifically launch it. Yes, it's running as per task manager- 40Mb or so 0% CPU- so it doesn't bother me. I have the search bar on the task bar hidden.

But if you're determined:
Cortana - Enable or Disable in Windows 10

4) Several different settings are overridden by MS, alas. I've noted a comment that MS is aware of (some) of this. Yes, well. I found autoplay settings all set to default (I have a way of making autoplay work, still necessary after the upgrade alas). My default playback was changed, and, as usual, system restore turned off.

My Classic personalisation option added as per tutorial here was removed, and I had to redo inactive title bar colour - as per tutorial here.

Sadly we have to cope with redoing some settings after an upgrade or in-place upgrade repair install.

Can't comment on 1) - which VPN? or 3) (don't use high contrast)

What is Windows 10 UA?

The poster means AU = Anniversary Update.

Some registerchanges I made were undone, like inactive titlebar. Extensions now available for Edge, but I can't install, ClassicShell doesn't show all programs.

Just a few observations...
The VPN was SonicWall which my work requires, so I'll have to see if I can reconfigure.
I have some vision issues, so high contrast helps since win10 changed the way it displays
slanted more towards tablets and phones.

Also lost my Classic Settings I downloaded from here, oh well.

Classic Settings.. this?
'Personalize (classic)' context menu - Add in Windows 10 - Windows 10 blog

Yep them!
It's annoying that this kind of stuff just happens out of the blue.
Got it back in already, thanks

I find it best to keep a list of what I've changed and how with relevant files, it's not that much. Then I can redo fairly quickly, especially as it's so infrequently I need to do these things.
