Windows 10 upgrade

Good Morning,
Can someone please tell me how to cancel a scheduled upgrade to Windows 10 that keeps popping up on my computer?
Also how to remove the Log in request for Skype Business that also pops up every time I turn the computer on.
Thanks

Hi Generally Aware.

For your first question: Follow it Get Windows 10 Icon - Remove from Taskbar in Windows 7 and 8.1 - Windows 10 blog
Then disable Upgrade to Windows 10 Update. Follow it: Upgrade to Windows 10 Update - Enable or Disable in Windows 7 or 8.1 - Windows 10 blog

For your second question:Disable Skype from Startup.

If you are in Windows 10:

  1. Right click on the taskbar and click on "Task Manager" in the context menu.
  2. It will open Task Manager with "Processes" tab selected. Click on the "Startup" tab.
  3. Select the Skype entry there and click "Disable" at the bottom right corner.
If you are in Windows 7/8

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
  3. Select the “Startup” tab.
  4. Deselect Skype there.
  5. Apply > OK
  6. Accept then restart.
Hope it helps.

Thanks. The first answer I can't seem to figure out. Should I click the download?
The second answer when I follow your instructions no Skype appears.

Yes, get the reg file from option 3 and apply it.
The second answer when I follow your instructions no Skype appears.
Please let me show your system information file? System Information File - Create in Windows 10 - Windows 10 blog

Thank you for your answer. I followed your instructions to cancel download and hopefully it will not appear anymore. I'll let you know.
The second answer is too complicated for me, creating files, etc. so I'll live with the Skype notice.
Thanks again.

It is not very complected, mate. It may look big, but when you will do it, it involves a very little amount of work.

But the decision is your, obviously. If you change your decision at any time, just drop a post in this thread.

Thanks Arc. The uninstall worked fine. I'm going to try your Skype advice.
