How to uninstall Windows 7 from dual boot with Windows 10?

So I've finally managed to install Windows 10 Pro x64 although with Windows 7 left over in dual boot. It created a "Windows.old" folder in the C: drive and Windows 7 doesn't boot anymore. How do I uninstall Windows 7 from my PC and will it affect any files?

The Windows.old folder is the remainder of that system, which you have upgraded. It has nothing to do with anything you might have on another partition.

Which partitions do you have? And which drives are in those partitions?

Both versions of Windows are in the C: drive. Here's a screenshot of my partitions: Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet

So you have upgraded one system to Windows 10. This system is located on the C: drive with the 112GB.

Now...on the C: drive with the 112GB you say you have another installation, namely of Windows 7? I have never heard that this would be possible... On another drive, yes, that is possible, but on the same drive? Hmm... One of these Windows systems then e.g. cannot use the folder "Windows" for its files, because this folder already contains the files of the other installation.

Or is it in fact the Windows.old folder, which you are worried about? Is that the second install you are speaking about?

I looked around the Windows.old folder and it basically contains all of my documents and other personal files that were on C: drive before the Windows 10 installation so no, I'm not worried about that folder. Whenever I try booting into Windows 7 it just freezes on "Starting Windows..." so basically Windows 7 is usellesly taking up space on my SSD. That's what I'm worried about...

I think it worked. Windows 7 option doesn't pop up in while booting and EasyBCD doesn't show it either. Some space has also cleared up in my SSD so I guess it worked. Thank you very much!

You're welcome! :-)
