Monitor screen image quality: Why it'd not there with Win 10?

Hello

Since I upgraded to Win 10, the image rendered by my monitors are not good at all. I did installed the latest drivers from Nvidia and my graphics cards is mentioned to be compatible but it is no fun to look at my screens at all..

Nvidia site for compatibility:
Which NVIDIA GPUs are supported in Windows 10?

I did try to configured either with the monitor setup, via Windows 10 screen setup and via Nvidia control panel.

Is there something that I don't understand???

My cards:
GeForce GT 630
GeForce GTX 550TI

Any informations appreciate

Martin

I wasn't going to jump in, but as you've had no other replies...

Could you be more explicit about "no fun to look at"? Are the resolutions correct? Are you using two graphics cards in the same system? (I've never tried that, except for SLI.) Which drivers are you using? Do they show up correctly under Display Adapters in Device manager?

Hello bobkn

Thanks for the reply

I'm using 2 differents graphics cards since Windows XP. SInce, I went to win 7 32 and Win 7 64 and all service pack
for all of these OS. I never ever had any problem with the quality of the image

I got 4 monitors and I experience the problem with all of them.
Problem are difficult to explain because quality of an image may be subjective. I'm not an expert in describing quality of an image and my English is not perfect.

So what see or observe
- Brightness is increased
- Color are not at all the same. To bright, too much
- Characters font are fuzzy. some letters are more dim than others
- Doesn't look like the same font that I used to see on a particular application

I did tried many time to configure the font and the monitors resolution. I give up. Problem doesn't go away.

I found it hard to stay in front of my screens for an extended period of time. It give me headache. I never had this experience before.

Your English is much better than my French. (I assume from Quebec...)

The fonts I get on my screen seem variable application to application; sometimes they're sharp, sometimes less so. (That may be made complicated for me because I'm using a cheap UHD monitor: 3840 X 2160 pixels.)

I've seen a lot of complaints here about fonts not being sharp, but I don't recall whether there are fixes or work-arounds.

I have a monitor calibration tool, so that may take care of some defects in colors. You may be able to improve your colors if you can find monitor "drivers" for your monitors and install them. (I put "drivers" in quotes because often they're just an .inf file and an .icm file.) If you select the .icm for the monitor in the Color Management control panel, that may improve things.

I don't use multiple monitors, so I don't know whether you can use different color maps for them.

I hope that you can get things adjusted to your satisfaction. If not, the older OS may continue to work well for you for a time.
