Motherboard Drivers won't install after installing Windows 10

My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 rev 1.0

Iv'e just installed windows 10 and when trying to install my motherboard drivers from my installation disc I get an error saying "This version of Xpress install does not support Win 98/ME".

I'm guessing that this is just a compatibility issue with the installer and Windows 10 and I'm fine to download what I need from the Gigabyte site, my problem is that I'm not 100% sure on what I should be downloading.

Here is a link to the download page for my motherboard:

I'm not sure If I only need to install the drivers or if I need anything from the 'Utility' or 'Bios' downloads on the page, and if I do only need the drivers, which ones I should be downloading.

Any help on what I should and don't need to download is greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance,

EDIT: I will add that I also get
"open device failure" and "open driver handle failure" errors when running the disc, I also found a way to get the disc to run by troubleshooting combatability, the install disc now runs but i still get the "open device failure" and "open driver handle failure" errors after the disc launches.

yes use only the drivers of the link you provided for windows 8.1 32 or 64bits , that are the latest drivers for windows 8.1 and i guess they will work als for Windows 10

Thanks for the reply, but would you happen to know what drivers are necessary? and what ones I don't need? There seems to be a lot more than I remember being on the install disc.

use only all drivers that cant hurt , if you select them for Windows 8.1 and proper 32 or 64 bits selection depending of version you have , nu utilities or bios

Get the latest chipset driver from Intel webpage.

Are you running 32 or 64 bit?
I would download 8.1 drivers
Both chipset drivers and install them first [inf first then the other]
Realtek LAN driver
The audio driver
Etron usb 3 driver
Let Windows find and install the video driver
that's the basic stuff

Im running 64 bit, thanks for the reply, ill try those drivers and see how it goes.

No need for the Intel SATA Preinstall driver or Rapid Storage Technology?

Not really - those are related to running RAID setups with multiple drives.
Jim

I have a newer Gigabyte mb and they are posting win 10 drivers for it.

Yeah, I feel that mine is a bit too outdated and more than likely wont be getting Win 10 drivers.
