Hello all,
In windows 8/8.1, when i opened a folder, it would open on the right/top edge of my screen, and every window after that would also open there. On windows 10, every time i open a folder it seems to just open in a random location on the screen. Not that big of a deal, but its a little annoying having to drag every window i open to where i need it when i didnt have to do that in windows 8. Anyone know of a solution, or is that just the way it is?
Thanks
It's not a random location. It's always a little down and to the right of the previous location. Until the right side of the window reaches the edge of the screen, then it starts over at the top.
This bug has been there for a while, and hasn't been addressed. It almost seems like they are doing it deliberately for some reason.
Gotcha. Guess ill keep dealing with it. Thanks for your time.
It has something to do with opening many windows in short succession so they cascade and not hide behind each other.

Hi, found a fix for this
I have this issue too. It also occurred in the Preview builds so I'm amazed they haven't fixed such an obvious and annoying bug. This should have been resolved long before the RTM build was compiled & released to the public.
I think only a tiny fraction of people find it "obvious" or "annoying". I didn't even notice until it was brought up in this forum. Most people are probably the same.
This. I have never more than two File Explorer Windows open, a single one mostly.
