I purchased a new Alienware computer 2 weeks ago and a couple days ago I noticed I couldn't access my Pictures folder. I also noticed I couldn't do any Admin tasks. I can't open task manager, Open any exe. files and when I right click on C drive I get Access is denied. I don't believe I've made any changes so not sure what went wrong. I could make changes and install programs prior.
Any help would be appreciative.
Thanks Dave

Since you bought it brand new and it is under warranty, suggest that you take it back for refund or exchange without delay.

I purchased it from Dell, unfortunately sending it back isn't an option.

(1). You will need another working computer, use the link below to download your version of Windows 10...................
)()

scroll down toSelect Edition > click the pointer at the right and selectWindows 10 > click Confirm.
click the pointer and select Language > make sure you pick the same language the Alienware is now running > click Confirm
select the bit version, 32 or 64-bit. Make sure you select the same bit version as the Alienware is now running.
at the bottom, click the pointer next to Save > click Save As > navigate to a folder of your choice > click the chosen folder > clickSave
The iso will start downloading to your chosen folder.

(2). Once you have the iso downloaded, burn it to a bootable media such as DVD or USB.
Others will recommend you their own favorite image burning programs.
I use Windows USB/DVD Download Tool because of its simplicity. Anyone can use it.

(3). When the bootable media is created, take it to your new Alienware computer and do a Clean Install.
Windows 10 - Clean Install
You will be asked for a product key, select the SKIP option or the " I do not have a product key " option and continue.
Activation should be automatic after clean install is completed.

Good luck.

Thanks David,
I'll do the install tomorrow and let you know. Do I need to make back ups of Pics. and files I have ?
David

Yes. It is always a good idea to back up items that you want to keep before installation.

Good afternoon,
I've run into a bit of a snag trying to reinstall windows.
I restarted the computer with the usb, accepted the terms, chose custom install selected my primary partition, but the new button is greyed out.
There's a side note saying Windows can't be installed on any partition I select.
Did I miss something along the way??
Thanks,
Dave
