Welcome to Windows windowssh blog, wingman 1800.

Not sure what you're trying to accomplish. Could you please be more specific? Such as upgrade from what? Your system specs says 8.1.

Advise not to upgrade anything to 10, for it's a preview in the works. Better to install as dual boot, VM, or test machine.

If you know your current install has problems, I would not do an upgrade to a new OS as it will almost certainly fail and cause you problems.

will Windows 10 install fix these??
Probably not ... but maybe -- if these are files that are replaced outright during a Win10 installation.

If I were you, I would do the following:
1) Install Macrium Reflect and do an image backup of your current install to an external drive. Use the option to create restore boot media.
2) Do a test "upgrade" of Win7 to Win10
3) See if that fixes the file corruption problem
4) If it does, decide if you want to stay with Win10 for a while, or go back to Win7
5) If you decide you want to go back to Win7, then restore your Win7 install from the MR backup.

Since both MR and Win10 are free, all you've lost in the process is some time.

I am refering to the Microsoft windows automatic updates, sfc/scannow worked b-4 but now find errors it can not fix. I have tried all recomended fix but no luck... but computer seems to work fine... tried using ext backup copy to restore to b-4 updates...... scannow then works but when updates applied..... I then have same problem... and tried uninstalling updated one at a time and that did not work. Was just wondering if ... when it becomes available... If Win 10 would help..??

No one, not even MS, knows today exactly what Win10 will have in it when it becomes available.

What you can do for now, to see if the current version "fixes" it, is to do what I suggested in post #4.

Hi there. Perhaps there is a store corruption. SFC uses the store to fix files, but if the store is corrupt it cannot do so. Here's a tutorial. If it's 7, there are links there.
