Troubleshooting steps:
Uninstalled
Restarted the system
Fresh Installed latest version Asus Smart Gesture, but no go. Still exact same issue as above.
Expectation:
I am expecting to be able to have the two fingers scrolling running as before. More so that it was working and now not since last update from Windows 10 for Smart Gesture Asus.
Not having the two fingers scrolling is really a PAIN.
Any help is of course much appreciated as I have run out of idea on how to solve the issue.
Thanks
Hi, you may find that you need to force Windows 10 to use your older driver.
This is discussed here, together with how to suppress a particular update. (Search the page for 'powershell').
Windows 10: Can't scroll with two fingers on touchpad. Asus smart gesture won't load! : windows
Hope it helps..
Thanks dalchina for taking the time. No go there as well. I have contacted Asus support and awaiting their reply. Will post back as soon as I hear from Asus as I have a feeling I am not the only stuck with trackpad issue
So, will mark this as solved. I have downgraded and using ASUS smart gesture for Windows 8.1. The version is "SmartGesture_Win81_64_VER3011". Warning for those with the same laptop model, Version 405 and 409. They both have the same issue. Thanks
Hi zongo, good to know using the older version driver works for you. Note you will have to protect your older driver from being replaced as a driver update.
Solved Stop specific driver update Windows 10 - Windows 10 blog
I have used the link you gave above to stop asus smart gesture from windows update. I kept v3 driver in case
This is how ASUS helped me solve the problem.
uninstall smart gesture
reboot
download the latest version of smart gesture and install
reboot
open smart gesture
unselect all options
reboot
select all options
reboot
two finger scrolling should now work
yes this is a pain to do but I have done it multiple times with every windows 10 update.
