Windows 10 has a new feature, just noticed it. Weather Alerts. In Indiana, I notice a notification of a Tornado watch a few minutes ago. Don't know if that is related to the weather app or if it is related to something else. The weather app has not shown the Tornado watch yet. The Notification was in the same spot you get other notification about windows 10. I wish I took a screenshot.
Those are probably coming from either Cortana or the WX App. You may see quite a few.. I am sure you know where to turn those off if need be.
I was wondering if we'd get weather notifications. Unfortunately I live in Arizona where there is no weather.
I like idea of getting weather alerts.
I live in central Florida - we have a lot of weather here.
But if I "took cover" every time my weather alert clock went off, I'd be spending all my time in the closet (so I just ignore the alert most of the time).
Unless you live up in the Blue Range of the White Mountains. . .the weather up there during the summer can change in just a heart beat. . .
I agree.. it's a great thing..
I would like to know where the settings are for the weather alert, so I can choose which weather alert I want. I think I may have inadvertently disabled all of the weather alerts. I think it is Cortana that does it. I think Cortana has to be turned on even if you can't talk to her. This current build she doesn't understand me, past builds it was fair. I guess weather alert are controlled by Cortana.

Don't you get dust storm warnings from the National Weather Service?
We do, but we haven't had any Haboobs thus far in my area this year; although I am surprised I haven't got any extreme heat warning notifications, because we've definitely had those.
I gather the following is the setting for these alerts?
