Took me quite a while to realize that I accidentally pressed Windows + Enter. This is quite a frustrating feature, and I don't really see how people are going to use it. What do you think about this feature ?
People with seeing disabilities probably.
That feature has been there since.... well, as long as I can remember.. at least Windows XP.
It's for the visually impaired.
It never happened to me when I was on XP, and neither when I was on 7. And since Win10 it happened twice. First time I had to restart the PC 'cause I didn't know what to do, and the second time I realized that I had pressed Win + Enter (instead of Alt + Enter to maximize a video). If this feature exists on Win7, it's pretty good hidden, 'cause it never troubled me.
I don't know if the keyboard combination is new, but Narrator has been there for a very long time.
Narrator has been there for a long time now. I've used it myself mainly to proofread essays to catch grammatical or flow errors I didn't see. It also got updated in Windows 8, there's a new UI and a new voice, mainly updated for touch users as there are also many new touch gestures that interact with Narrator.
Windows 7: Keyboard shortcuts
Windows 8: Keyboard shortcuts
WinKey+Enter was assigned to Narrator in Win8
I skipped Win8.
